Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Engineer to join our team in the healthcare sector in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical gas systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role is crucial in supporting the safe and efficient operation of healthcare facilities, contributing to patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, maintain, and repair medical gas systems, including oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, and vacuum systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety of gas systems.

- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all gas systems comply with local and international healthcare regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize hazards associated with medical gas systems.

- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to gas systems, including leaks, pressure fluctuations, and system malfunctions.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies related to medical gas systems.

- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed on gas systems.
- Prepare reports and documentation for compliance with regulatory bodies and internal audits.

- Collaboration:
- Work closely with healthcare staff, including doctors, nurses, and facility management, to ensure seamless operation of medical gas systems.
- Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized services and equipment.

- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to healthcare personnel on the proper use and handling of medical gas systems.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in medical gas engineering.

Qualifications:

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Biomedical, or a related field.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in gas engineering, with a focus on medical gas systems in a healthcare setting.

- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in gas engineering and safety (e.g., NFPA 99, HTM 02, etc.) are preferred.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical gas systems, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software related to gas systems.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work on-call and respond to emergencies as needed.
