Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Glass Technician to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceutical sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass fabrication, handling, and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. This role is crucial for ensuring that all glass components used in our pharmaceutical production processes meet the stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Glass Fabrication and Maintenance:
- Perform glass cutting, shaping, and assembly in compliance with industry standards.
- Inspect glass products for defects, ensuring all items meet quality assurance protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs of glass equipment and machinery.

2. Quality Control:
- Implement and adhere to quality control procedures to ensure that all glass components meet specifications.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to document and resolve any quality issues related to glass materials.

3. Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance and support in the installation and troubleshooting of glass equipment.
- Assist in the design and modification of glass components based on production requirements.

4. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to glass handling and production.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on safe glass handling practices.

5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimize glass usage in pharmaceutical applications.
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding production schedules and glass inventory levels.

6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of glass production processes, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on glass-related issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Education: Diploma or equivalent in Glass Technology, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in glass fabrication and maintenance, preferably in a pharmaceutical or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in glass cutting tools and techniques, with a strong understanding of glass properties and applications.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
