Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Green Building Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Consumer Goods sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of sustainable building practices and technologies, contributing to our commitment to environmental stewardship and energy efficiency. This position requires a deep understanding of green building standards, innovative design strategies, and a passion for sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sustainable Design Development:
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and project managers to design environmentally responsible and resource-efficient buildings.
- Conduct feasibility studies and energy modeling to evaluate sustainable design alternatives and their impact on project outcomes.

2. Compliance and Certification:
- Ensure all building projects comply with local and international green building standards, such as LEED, BREEAM, and Estidama.
- Coordinate with certification bodies and manage the documentation necessary for green building certification processes.

3. Energy Efficiency Analysis:
- Perform energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for energy savings and optimization.
- Recommend and implement energy-efficient technologies and systems, including HVAC, lighting, and renewable energy sources.

4. Material Selection and Waste Management:
- Advise on the selection of sustainable building materials and construction practices that minimize environmental impact.
- Develop and promote waste reduction strategies during construction and operation phases.

5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into all stages of project development.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

6. Continual Learning and Development:
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in green building practices and sustainability.
- Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance expertise and skills.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Sustainable Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in green building design, engineering, or consulting.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and green building certification processes in the UAE.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software and building simulation tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST, etc.).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional or similar credentials is a plus.
