Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk Assistant to join our dynamic retail team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our grocery department operates smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of product presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, providing information about products, promotions, and store policies to enhance their shopping experience.

- Stock Management: Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking grocery products on shelves, ensuring that items are displayed neatly and in accordance with store standards.

- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, assist in conducting regular stock counts, and report any discrepancies or shortages to the management team.

- Product Rotation: Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out) to minimize waste and guarantee the freshness of perishable goods.

- Pricing and Labeling: Verify and maintain accurate pricing and labeling of products, ensuring that all items are correctly marked and promotional signage is displayed.

- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the grocery aisles and storage areas clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations to provide a safe shopping environment.

- Checkout Assistance: Occasionally assist in the checkout process, including scanning items, handling cash, and providing change as needed.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve store goals and promote a positive working environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in retail or a related field is a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in grocery retail or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 kg).
- Standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks as required.
