Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Store Clerk to join our team in Dubai, specifically within a unique setting that supports the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our grocery store operates smoothly while maintaining high standards of customer service and product quality. This position requires a keen understanding of inventory management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance within a specialized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, assisting them with inquiries, locating products, and processing transactions efficiently and accurately. Promote a welcoming and helpful atmosphere.

- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control. Record incoming shipments, check product quality, and ensure proper storage conditions of food items, particularly those required for specialized diets or specific regulations in the Aerospace and Defense sector.

- Product Display and Merchandising: Organize and maintain product displays, ensuring shelves are stocked and presented attractively. Implement promotional displays and rotate products to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety, health, and hygiene regulations. Handle food products according to industry standards and ensure compliance with both local and international guidelines relevant to the Aerospace and Defense industries.

- Cash Handling: Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions. Manage the cash register, balance cash drawers, and prepare daily sales reports.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient store operations. Participate in training and development initiatives, contributing to a positive team environment.

- Problem-Solving: Address customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary. Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges to enhance the customer experience.

- Maintenance and Cleanliness: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times. Perform regular cleaning of work areas, equipment, and customer areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail management or related fields is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in grocery retail or a similar setting, preferably within a specialized environment related to Aerospace and Defense.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg as needed.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle various grocery items efficiently.
