Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Grocery Store Clerk to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our grocery section, assisting customers with their needs, and facilitating the logistics of inventory management. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance in locating products.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.

2. Inventory Management:
- Assist with the receiving, unpacking, and stocking of grocery items.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages to the store manager.
- Ensure that all products are properly labeled and displayed following store standards.

3. Store Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grocery section, including shelves, displays, and checkout areas.
- Conduct regular checks for expired or damaged products and remove them from the sales floor.
- Assist in the preparation of promotional displays and signage.

4. Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely replenishment of stock and management of deliveries.
- Support the implementation of efficient stocking procedures to reduce wait times for customers.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with the reconciliation of stock discrepancies.

5. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
- Follow company policies and procedures in handling cash and processing transactions.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail or logistics is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a grocery store or retail environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and point-of-sale technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Skills:

- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Basic mathematics skills for handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints effectively.
