We are seeking a highly skilled Hazardous Materials Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and disposing of hazardous materials in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, classify, and label hazardous materials in the workplace
- Develop and implement procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Train and educate employees on proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
- Respond to emergency situations involving hazardous materials spills or leaks
- Coordinate with external vendors for the safe transportation and disposal of hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hazardous materials management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- [X] years of experience working with hazardous materials in a similar role
- Knowledge of local regulations and best practices for handling hazardous materials
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in Hazardous Materials Management (e.g. HAZWOPER) is a plus
