Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health Communication Specialist to join our team, focusing on the energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in health communication and public relations, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the energy industry. This role is essential in promoting health and safety communication strategies, fostering public awareness, and ensuring effective dissemination of information related to health initiatives and energy practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive health communication strategies that align with organizational goals and address public health concerns related to energy consumption and safety.
- Create engaging, accurate, and informative content for various platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, and press releases, tailored to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including health professionals, energy experts, and marketing specialists, to ensure cohesive messaging and effective outreach.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify key health issues and trends in the energy sector, and use this data to inform communication strategies.
- Plan and execute health communication campaigns, including community outreach programs and educational workshops, to raise awareness about health impacts associated with energy production and consumption.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health communication initiatives, using metrics to assess reach and impact, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, representing health communication interests in public forums, media interviews, and community events.
- Stay updated on public health policies, energy regulations, and emerging trends in health communication to ensure timely and relevant messaging.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, health organizations, and community groups, to foster collaboration and support for health initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health communication, public relations, or a related field, preferably within the energy sector.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in using data to drive communication strategies.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, and analytics software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Cultural competence and an understanding of the diverse communities in Sharjah and the broader UAE.
