Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Highway Maintenance Worker to join our team in Ajman. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our highway infrastructure. The position requires a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks, a commitment to safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on highways, including pothole filling, crack sealing, and surface patching to ensure safe travel conditions.
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy machinery and equipment, including but not limited to, asphalt pavers, rollers, and graders.
- Conduct inspections of roads and bridges to identify wear and damage, and report findings to supervisors.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic signs, road markings, and safety barriers.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute maintenance projects efficiently and within deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and hazards while performing maintenance tasks.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as road accidents or severe weather impacts, and assist with necessary repairs and clean-up efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to the public when required, addressing concerns or inquiries related to highway conditions.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in highway maintenance or a related field.
- Familiarity with highway maintenance practices and safety regulations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
