Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team in the transportation and logistics sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting projects that enhance the visual and functional aspects of our facilities and transport environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for interior design, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Lead Interior Designer with the conceptualization and execution of interior design projects, focusing on transportation and logistics facilities including warehouses, offices, and transport terminals.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather measurements, and document the space for design development.
- Create detailed design presentations, including mood boards, color palettes, material selections, and space plans, using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet functional requirements and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Research and source furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and provide recommendations that align with project budgets and timelines.
- Maintain an organized project documentation system, including design specifications, project schedules, and correspondence with suppliers and contractors.
- Assist in preparing project proposals and presentations for client meetings, showcasing design concepts and addressing client feedback effectively.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies relevant to the transportation and logistics industry.
- Support the team in coordinating project timelines, ensuring all work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Attend project meetings and participate in discussions regarding design challenges and solutions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in interior design, preferably within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, and material selection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant design work is required.
