Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team in the vibrant sector of Information Technology. The ideal candidate will support our interior design projects, contributing innovative ideas and assisting in the execution of design concepts tailored to high-tech environments. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow their career in interior design within an exciting tech-focused atmosphere in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist lead interior designers in developing design concepts, mood boards, and presentations for various projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and brand identity.
- Collaborate with the design team to create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Conduct research on design trends, materials, and technologies that can enhance the functionality and aesthetics of IT spaces, including offices, conference rooms, and collaborative areas.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, material samples, and design revisions, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Support the procurement process by sourcing furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) relevant to interior design projects, ensuring selections align with budget and timeline constraints.
- Assist in site visits to monitor project progress, conduct measurements, and address any on-site challenges that may arise during the implementation phase.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project timelines.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing insights and creative solutions to meet client needs and expectations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and sustainable design practices to ensure our designs remain innovative and relevant.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in interior design, preferably within the Information Technology sector or commercial design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, and materials used in interior design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations, as well as an understanding of sustainable design principles, is a plus.
- A portfolio showcasing previous design projects is required.
