Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Judge Advocate with a strong background in Information Technology to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT law, data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property issues related to technology. This role will involve providing legal advice, representation, and strategic guidance on various technology-related legal matters, ensuring compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel on IT-related issues, including software licensing, data protection, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and digital contracts.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to technology services, software development, and IT procurement.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging technologies and their regulatory implications, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, including disputes related to IT contracts, data breaches, and intellectual property rights.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to develop and implement policies and protocols that comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advise on compliance with local and international data protection laws, including GDPR and UAE data protection regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal issues and best practices in IT law and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in technology law and relevant legislation affecting the industry.
- Assist in the development and review of internal policies and procedures related to technology use and data management.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support technology initiatives and projects from a legal perspective.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution.
- Admission to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technology law, IT contracts, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding information technology, including intellectual property and data protection laws.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements and contracts.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in a multinational corporation or law firm with a focus on technology.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their regulatory implications.
- Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
