We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lactation Specialist to join our team in Dubai. The Lactation Specialist will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to farmers in the agriculture industry to ensure the health and well-being of lactating livestock, specifically dairy cows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular assessments of lactating animals to ensure proper nutrition and feeding practices are being followed
- Developing and implementing feeding plans to optimize milk production and quality
- Providing guidance on proper milking techniques and equipment maintenance
- Monitoring and managing lactating animals' health, including identifying and addressing any health issues or concerns
- Collaborating with veterinarians and other animal health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for lactating animals
- Training farmers and farm staff on best practices for lactation management
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in lactation management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dairy farming or animal husbandry
- Proven experience in lactation management and nutrition
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of animal health and welfare standards
- Certification as a Lactation Specialist is preferred but not required
