Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team in Sharjah, supporting our operations within the Information Technology sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of various textiles, including uniforms, linens, and other materials used within our IT facilities. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards and ensuring that all items are handled with care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sorting and Classification: Sort and classify laundry items based on material type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure appropriate washing techniques are applied.

- Washing and Drying: Operate washing machines and dryers, selecting appropriate cycles and settings to ensure optimal cleaning without damaging fabrics.

- Stain Treatment: Identify and treat stains on fabrics using suitable chemicals and techniques to restore items to their original condition.

- Folding and Ironing: Fold, hang, and iron cleaned items as necessary, ensuring they are presented neatly and professionally for use within the IT company.

- Inventory Management: Keep track of laundry inventory, including linens and uniforms, and report any shortages or damages to management.

- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laundry equipment to ensure it operates efficiently, reporting any malfunctions as necessary.

- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure timely delivery of clean items, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the company’s operations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laundry or cleaning role, preferably in a commercial environment.
- Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and their safe usage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
