Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lumber Mill Worker to join our manufacturing team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality lumber products, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain various lumber mill machinery, including saws, planers, and edgers, to process timber into finished products.
- Inspect logs and lumber for quality, ensuring compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Load and unload timber from trucks and machinery, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Monitor machinery operation, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Assist in the training of new employees as needed, sharing knowledge of best practices and safety guidelines.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in manufacturing or machinery operation is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years and maximum of 7 years of experience in a lumber mill or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of lumber processing techniques and equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and practices within a manufacturing setting.
