We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our machine shop in a retail setting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all activities in the machine shop, including scheduling, production, quality control, and maintenance
- Ensure that all machines are operating efficiently and safely
- Train and mentor machine shop staff to ensure high quality workmanship and productivity
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of production, inventory, and maintenance activities
- Develop and implement best practices to improve efficiency and quality in the machine shop
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop setting
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and equipment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a machine shop setting
