Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceuticals sector in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. This position requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Support: Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment for pharmaceutical production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct regular maintenance checks on mechanical equipment, identify issues, and perform necessary repairs or upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Installation and Calibration: Support the installation and calibration of new mechanical systems, ensuring they meet operational specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and performance metrics. Generate detailed reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to engineering teams during the design and implementation phases of projects, including contributing to design specifications and conducting feasibility studies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to ensure seamless operations and compliance with safety standards.
- Training and Mentoring: Assist in training junior technicians and new employees on mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices to foster a knowledgeable workforce.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment efficiency and reliability, contributing to overall operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field, preferably within the pharmaceuticals industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical systems design, CAD software, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
