Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mining Safety Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained in our mining operations, particularly as they pertain to our real estate development projects. This position requires a deep understanding of mining safety regulations, risk assessment, and the application of safety protocols to guarantee a safe working environment for all personnel involved in mining activities related to real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and protocols for mining operations within the real estate sector.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure safety measures are integrated into all phases of mining and construction projects.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Monitor compliance with local and international safety regulations, standards, and best practices related to mining operations.
- Investigate accidents or incidents and prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging safety technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve safety practices.
- Lead safety meetings and workshops to foster a culture of safety and awareness among all team members.
- Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns within the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining safety, preferably within the real estate or construction industries.
- Strong knowledge of mining safety regulations, risk management principles, and safety management systems.
- Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Relevant certifications in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Work Environment:

- This position will involve both office-based work and fieldwork at mining sites and construction locations.
- Candidates must be willing to travel to various project sites as required.
