Newspaper Editor Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Newspaper Editor to join our team in Dubai, focusing on agriculture news. As the Newspaper Editor, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire editorial process, from assigning and editing stories to ensuring the publication meets high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of reporters and freelance writers, assigning them stories and providing guidance and feedback on their work
- Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, and factual accuracy
- Develop and implement editorial strategies to ensure the newspaper remains relevant and engaging to its readers
- Work closely with the design and layout team to ensure the newspaper's visual presentation is appealing and professional
- Conduct interviews and research to generate original content for the newspaper
- Attend press conferences, industry events, and other relevant gatherings to stay informed on current trends and developments in the agriculture sector
- Collaborate with the advertising and marketing teams to ensure editorial content aligns with the newspaper's overall branding and messaging

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- [X] years of experience working in a journalism or editorial role, preferably in the agriculture sector
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of AP style and other editorial guidelines
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and social media
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
