Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team in the energy sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the application of nuclear medicine principles and techniques, contributing to both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position requires a meticulous approach, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including but not limited to, PET/CT scans, SPECT scans, and radionuclide therapy.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Conduct quality control and assurance checks on imaging equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide critical patient information.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed per regulatory and institutional guidelines.
- Educate patients and their families on procedures, potential risks, and safety measures related to nuclear medicine.
- Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials related to nuclear medicine, contributing to advancements in the field.
- Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and practices, integrating new techniques as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
- Valid certification and licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (e.g., ARRT, NMTCB).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in nuclear medicine, with a strong background in PET and SPECT imaging preferred.
- Proficiency in operating nuclear imaging equipment and understanding radiopharmaceuticals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and care.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory compliance in a medical setting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques and emerging technologies in nuclear medicine.
- Bilingual capabilities (English and Arabic) are advantageous.
