Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packaging Manager to oversee our packaging operations in the pharmaceuticals sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in packaging engineering and management, with a focus on regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and process optimization. The Packaging Manager will be responsible for developing packaging strategies, managing packaging materials, and leading a team of packaging professionals to ensure the safe and efficient packaging of pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of packaging specialists and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members and conduct regular performance reviews.

- Packaging Development:
- Design and implement innovative packaging solutions that meet product specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and production teams to develop packaging formats that enhance product safety, shelf life, and consumer appeal.

- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all packaging processes comply with local and international regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to facilitate the approval of packaging materials and processes.

- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and monitor quality control measures for packaging processes to ensure product integrity and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of packaging operations, addressing any non-conformance issues promptly.

- Cost Management and Optimization:
- Manage packaging budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization and material selection.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and quality for packaging materials.

- Project Management:
- Oversee packaging projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Utilize project management methodologies to track progress, manage risks, and implement solutions as necessary.

- Sustainability Initiatives:
- Develop and implement sustainable packaging practices to minimize environmental impact and align with corporate sustainability goals.
- Research and evaluate new packaging materials and technologies to improve sustainability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and regulatory requirements specific to pharmaceuticals.
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
