We are seeking a motivated and creative Photojournalist Assistant to join our dynamic team focused on agriculture in the vibrant city of Dubai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in capturing compelling visual stories that highlight the advancements and challenges in the agricultural sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of photography, journalism, and agriculture, contributing to the visual documentation of our initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead photojournalist in planning, executing, and editing photographic assignments that reflect the agricultural landscape of Dubai and the broader region.
- Capture high-quality images that tell impactful stories about agricultural practices, innovations, and community engagement.
- Conduct research on agricultural topics and trends to identify potential story ideas and photographic opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to develop creative concepts for photo essays, features, and multimedia projects.
- Edit and retouch images using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to ensure the highest quality for publication.
- Organize and maintain an extensive digital photo library, ensuring easy access and retrieval of images.
- Assist in setting up equipment, including cameras, lighting, and other necessary tools for shoots in various agricultural settings.
- Attend agricultural events, field visits, and community gatherings to document activities and interactions.
- Support the preparation of presentations, publications, and online content that features photographic work.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in photojournalism and agriculture to enhance storytelling techniques and visual communication.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Journalism, Communications, Agriculture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in photography or photojournalism, preferably with a focus on agriculture or environmental topics.
- Proficient in digital photography, with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in capturing dynamic and engaging images.
- Experience with photo editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices and the ability to translate complex topics into visual narratives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A passion for storytelling through visual media and a keen eye for composition and aesthetics.
- Willingness to travel to various agricultural sites within Dubai and surrounding areas.
