Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipe Layer to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah, specializing in telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground piping systems essential for telecommunications networks. This position requires a strong understanding of pipe laying techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation of Pipe Systems: Lay and install various types of piping systems such as PVC, HDPE, and Ductile Iron for telecommunications applications, ensuring compliance with all specifications and safety standards.

- Site Preparation: Prepare and excavate trenches for pipe installation, ensuring that the site is safe and suitable for construction activities.

- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and tests on installed pipe systems to ensure they meet required quality and performance standards.

- Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems as needed, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.

- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other construction personnel to coordinate activities and ensure project timelines are met.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation and maintenance activities, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in pipe laying, preferably within the telecommunications sector.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of tools and equipment related to pipe installation, including trenching equipment, pipe fittings, and other hand tools.

- Knowledge: Familiarity with telecommunications infrastructure and understanding of the specific requirements related to underground installations.

- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.

- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.

- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions in a timely manner.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction safety and pipe laying practices are an advantage.
