Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Recreation Worker to join our team in Dubai, focused on enhancing the recreational experiences in the field of Information Technology. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in organizing, promoting, and facilitating engaging recreational programs and activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and innovation among IT professionals and enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Program Development: Design and implement recreational programs that cater to the interests of IT staff and community members. Activities may include tech workshops, coding boot camps, gaming tournaments, and other tech-related events.

- Event Coordination: Organize and oversee recreational events, ensuring they are executed smoothly and meet the needs of participants. Responsibilities include venue selection, logistics management, scheduling, and post-event evaluations.

- Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community among participants by promoting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Encourage collaboration and networking among IT professionals through recreational activities.

- Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing strategies to promote recreational programs and events. Utilize social media, newsletters, and community boards to reach target audiences effectively.

- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all recreational activities comply with safety standards and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect participants.

- Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of programs and identify areas for improvement. Use this information to enhance future recreational offerings.

- Collaboration: Work closely with IT department heads and team leaders to align recreational activities with organizational goals and team-building initiatives.

- Budget Management: Assist in preparing and managing budgets for recreational programs and events. Ensure all activities are cost-effective and stay within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in recreation programming, event planning, or a related role, preferably within the IT sector.
- Strong understanding of the IT industry and the ability to engage with a diverse group of professionals.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in using various software and tools for event management and promotion.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate program schedules.
