Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sanitation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Information Technology sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, with a specific focus on IT environments, data centers, and server rooms. This role requires a blend of engineering principles, sanitation protocols, and an understanding of IT infrastructure to maintain a safe and hygienic workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sanitation Management: Develop, implement, and oversee sanitation protocols specific to IT environments, including data centers and server rooms, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of sanitation practices to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements to mitigate risks associated with electronic equipment and sensitive installations.

- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with IT and facilities management teams to ensure that sanitation measures do not interfere with the operation of critical IT infrastructure. Provide guidance on best practices for maintaining cleanliness without compromising equipment integrity.

- Training and Development: Lead training sessions for staff on proper sanitation techniques, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and safe working environment in relation to IT operations.

- Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring systems to evaluate sanitation performance metrics. Generate regular reports on sanitation compliance, issues identified, and corrective actions taken.

- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local and international sanitation regulations and standards relevant to the information technology industry. Ensure that the organization adheres to these regulations.

- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the sanitation budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising on quality and safety.

- Emergency Response: Develop and maintain an emergency sanitation plan to address potential contamination or hazardous material spills within IT facilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sanitation Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in sanitation engineering or a related field, with a focus on IT environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of sanitation protocols, health and safety regulations, and best practices for maintaining clean IT spaces.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and how sanitation practices may impact network operations and equipment functionality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative sanitation solutions.

Preferred Skills:

- Professional certification in sanitation, environmental health, or a related discipline.
- Experience with data center operations and the unique cleanliness challenges they present.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and green sanitation technologies.
