Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Consultant specializing in the healthcare sector to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing robust security measures that protect sensitive patient information and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of both physical and cybersecurity frameworks, as well as the unique challenges faced by healthcare organizations in an evolving threat landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

- Security Assessment: Conduct comprehensive security assessments of healthcare facilities, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to security protocols and systems.

- Risk Management: Develop and maintain a risk management framework tailored to the healthcare environment, ensuring that potential risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.

- Policy Development: Collaborate with healthcare executives and compliance teams to create, review, and update security policies, procedures, and standards that align with local and international regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

- Incident Response: Establish and maintain incident response plans, ensuring that all staff are trained to respond effectively to security breaches or data loss incidents.

- Training and Awareness: Design and deliver training programs for healthcare staff to promote security awareness and best practices.

- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with security policies and regulations, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence.

- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, healthcare administrators, and vendors to implement security solutions and technologies that enhance overall security posture.

- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on security assessments, incidents, and recommendations to stakeholders.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies in the healthcare sector to ensure that security practices evolve in line with industry standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years and maximum of 7 years of experience in security consulting, with a focus on the healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and local laws regarding patient data protection.
- Proven experience in conducting security assessments, risk analysis, and developing security policies.
- Familiarity with security technologies and solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption technologies, and access control mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, HCISPP) are highly desirable.
