Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Agile Coach to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector, based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and will be responsible for leading and mentoring cross-functional teams to enhance their Agile practices, drive continuous improvement, and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Agile Transformation:
- Lead the Agile transformation initiatives across various teams and departments within the organization.
- Assess the current state of Agile practices and develop tailored improvement plans to enhance Agile adoption and maturity.
2. Coaching and Mentoring:
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to foster a culture of Agile thinking and practices.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to elevate the understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
3. Facilitation:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Help teams identify and resolve impediments to improve workflow and efficiency.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to align Agile initiatives with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and successes of Agile transformations to stakeholders regularly.
5. Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish and monitor Agile metrics to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports and insights on Agile adoption and team performance to senior management.
6. Culture Development:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging teams to experiment and learn from failures.
- Foster an environment of trust, accountability, and transparency within teams.
7. Industry Best Practices:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging Agile methodologies within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
- Share knowledge and insights with teams and contribute to the organization’s Agile community of practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in Agile coaching, Scrum Master, or similar roles, preferably within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe) and experience in implementing Agile practices at scale.
- Proven experience in leading Agile transformations and coaching cross-functional teams.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Relevant Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Agile Coach, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Program Consultant) are highly desirable.
