Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in Dubai, specializing in the agriculture sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems that enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. This position requires a strong background in automation technologies, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and Development: Lead the design and development of automated systems and solutions for various agricultural processes, such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, and processing.
- System Integration: Integrate advanced technologies, including IoT, robotics, and machine learning, into existing agricultural systems to improve efficiency and data collection.
- Project Management: Manage automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with agronomists, field technicians, and other engineers to understand agricultural needs and translate them into effective automated solutions.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of automation systems to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated systems, addressing any issues that arise during operation.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed project documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on automation technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within the agriculture sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or PLC programming.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools and technologies, including SCADA systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Experience with data analytics and IoT applications in agriculture is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with agricultural practices and processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory standards in the agriculture industry.
