Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Compliance Consultant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, focusing on the Financial Services sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry, along with a proven track record of successfully implementing compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor, interpret, and implement relevant regulatory changes and ensure that the organization is compliant with local and international laws and regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive compliance risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Policy Development: Design, draft, and implement compliance policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs for staff at all levels to promote compliance awareness and understanding of regulatory responsibilities.
- Compliance Audits: Plan and execute compliance audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and procedures, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management and the board, including findings from audits and assessments, and track the implementation of corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, to ensure effective communication of compliance-related matters.
- Advisory Role: Act as a subject matter expert on compliance issues, providing guidance and support to various departments within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve the compliance framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CCEP, or similar) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance within the financial services sector, with a focus on banking, investment, or insurance.
- Strong knowledge of local and international regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Central Bank of the UAE regulations, FATCA, CRS, and AML/CFT legislation.
- Proven experience in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex compliance concepts to various audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
