Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team in the energy sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, with a proven track record of protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data from cyber threats. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems and networks, while also contributing to the overall cybersecurity strategy of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and manage robust cybersecurity solutions and frameworks tailored to the energy sector.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and weaknesses in systems and networks.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, managing the incident response process to mitigate impacts and restore operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into every aspect of IT operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard sensitive information and critical assets.
- Lead and mentor junior cybersecurity team members, providing guidance on security protocols, threat detection, and incident response.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends in the cybersecurity landscape, particularly within the energy sector.
- Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
- Prepare and present reports on security metrics, incidents, and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization technologies.
- Experience with network security architecture, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools and incident response methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the energy sector, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and IEC 62443.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
