Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Editor to join our dynamic editorial team focused on the energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of energy trends, technologies, and policies, along with a passion for producing high-quality content that informs and engages our audience. This role requires a creative thinker with a proven track record in editorial management, content strategy, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the editorial direction and strategy for energy-related content across various platforms, including digital, print, and social media.
- Oversee the editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality articles, reports, and multimedia content that align with current energy trends and issues.
- Collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, and industry professionals to develop compelling stories and insights that resonate with our audience.
- Edit and proofread articles for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to the organization's style guide and standards.
- Conduct thorough research on energy topics, including renewable energy, fossil fuels, energy policy, and technological advancements in the sector.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior editors and writers, fostering a collaborative and innovative editorial environment.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging trends in the energy sector to inform editorial decisions and content planning.
- Analyze audience engagement metrics and feedback to refine content strategy and enhance reader experience.
- Represent the editorial team in meetings and discussions with stakeholders, including industry leaders, government officials, and partners.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Energy Policy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of editorial experience, preferably within the energy sector or a related field.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, policies, and technological innovations.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with digital content management systems and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous work in editorial content creation, particularly in the energy sector.
