Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior HR Generalist to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is pivotal in driving our HR initiatives within the retail sector, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and enhancing employee engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic insight and operational expertise, with a proven track record in HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the retail industry.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions that reflect those needs.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and facilitating onboarding processes.

2. Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Address employee concerns and grievances promptly and effectively, fostering a positive work environment.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify areas for improvement and enhance employee retention strategies.

3. Performance Management:
- Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee development.
- Provide coaching and support to managers in implementing performance improvement plans and addressing performance issues.

4. Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Collaborate with external training providers to deliver impactful training sessions tailored to the retail sector.

5. Compensation and Benefits:
- Assist in developing and administering competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain talent.
- Conduct market research to ensure the organization remains competitive in its offerings.

6. HR Policies and Compliance:
- Review and update HR policies and procedures to comply with local labor laws and regulations.
- Ensure consistency in the application of policies across the organization.

7. HR Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on HR trends, employee engagement, and turnover rates.

8. Organizational Development:
- Support organizational change initiatives and culture transformation efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement strategies that drive employee engagement and productivity.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the retail sector.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proven experience in managing employee relations and resolving conflicts.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Skills:

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
