Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, implementation, and management, along with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support construction projects, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand network requirements and ensure timely delivery of network solutions.
- Conduct network assessments, identify potential issues, and recommend improvements to optimize performance and reliability.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring minimal downtime and effective resolution of incidents.
- Ensure network security by implementing best practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures for compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Lead and mentor junior network engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and trends, evaluating their potential application within the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications used in construction projects.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network equipment and services.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on large-scale network design and implementation.
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Experience with network hardware from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) and familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus but not mandatory.
