Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi's healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, risk management, and compliance, with a proven track record in safeguarding sensitive healthcare data. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security architectures, as well as leading initiatives to protect our organization's information systems from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

- Network Security Design & Implementation:
Develop and implement comprehensive network security solutions that align with industry standards and best practices. This includes firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and other security measures.

- Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Management:
Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security weaknesses. Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize remediation efforts and ensure that vulnerabilities are addressed promptly.

- Monitoring & Incident Response:
Oversee the continuous monitoring of network traffic for suspicious activities. Lead incident response efforts by investigating security breaches, analyzing the nature of the incidents, and implementing corrective actions.

- Compliance & Policy Development:
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and other relevant standards. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote a culture of security awareness.

- Collaboration & Training:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical staff, and management, to ensure a cohesive approach to network security. Provide training and awareness programs to educate staff on security best practices and emerging threats.

- Security Technology Evaluation:
Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools to enhance the organization’s security posture. Stay updated with the latest trends in cybersecurity and healthcare security challenges.

- Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of network security policies, configurations, and incident reports. Generate regular security reports for management that outline security status, incidents, and remediation activities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, with a focus on healthcare environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance requirements specific to healthcare, such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, or NIST.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred):

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) or equivalent
