Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Dubai, focusing on the construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, specifically in the rehabilitation of workers, injury prevention, and health promotion within the construction industry. This role will involve assessing and treating a diverse range of conditions to ensure the optimal functioning and well-being of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of workers to identify physical, cognitive, and emotional barriers to performance in their roles within the construction environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing occupational performance and promoting wellness.
- Collaborate closely with construction site managers, safety officers, and HR personnel to develop strategies that support worker health and safety.
- Provide education and training to employees on injury prevention, ergonomics, and health maintenance relevant to the construction industry.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Facilitate return-to-work programs for injured employees, ensuring a smooth transition back to their roles while considering their physical capabilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of workplace health initiatives and policies.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in occupational therapy and construction safety to enhance service delivery.
- Mentor and supervise junior occupational therapists and support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license to practice in the UAE.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in occupational therapy, with at least 2 years specifically in the construction sector or a similar industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and ergonomic principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs tailored to the needs of the workforce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on outcome-oriented care.
- Proficient in using electronic health records and other documentation software.
