Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on innovative healthcare solutions. This role requires a strong technical background, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving research initiatives, developing cutting-edge technologies, and contributing to projects that aim to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and Development:
- Lead and manage research projects related to healthcare technologies, including medical devices, health informatics, and telemedicine solutions.
- Design, develop, and test prototypes and systems to evaluate their effectiveness in real-world healthcare settings.
- Conduct literature reviews and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the healthcare sector.

2. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers, to translate clinical needs into technical requirements.
- Foster partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry stakeholders to enhance research initiatives.

3. Data Analysis:
- Utilize advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets related to patient care and healthcare outcomes.
- Develop algorithms and models to support clinical decision-making and predictive analytics.

4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and present research findings to stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory bodies, and funding agencies.
- Write technical reports, research papers, and grant proposals to secure funding for ongoing projects.

5. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including quality control processes for research outputs.
- Participate in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for research activities.

6. Mentorship and Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior research engineers and interns.
- Lead training sessions and workshops to enhance the team's technical skills and knowledge in healthcare technologies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in research and development within the healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R, and experience with data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data mining in healthcare applications.
- Familiarity with medical imaging, wearable devices, or health informatics systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory submissions and processes for medical devices or healthcare technologies.
