Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Ruby Developer to join our dynamic team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing robust, scalable, and high-performance applications in the financial services sector. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our software products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and security.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance code quality and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement and manage APIs, database integrations, and third-party services to enhance application functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing application performance and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve existing applications and processes.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on Ruby best practices, design patterns, and software development methodologies.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
