Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications engineering, with a proven track record of leading projects and driving innovation. You will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and optimization of telecommunications systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and Development: Lead the design and development of telecommunications systems, including but not limited to mobile networks, fixed-line networks, and broadband technologies. Ensure that solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry standards.

- Project Management: Oversee the execution of engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

- Network Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing telecommunications networks for performance improvements, cost reduction, and expanded capacity. Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to identify and resolve network issues.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective communication and alignment on project objectives.

- Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes. Lead R&D initiatives to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of engineering processes, designs, and project statuses. Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders and management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, with a focus on network design and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications protocols, technologies (such as LTE, 5G, VoIP), and standards.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and software relevant to telecommunications design and analysis.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience with network simulation and modeling tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based telecommunications solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in telecommunications.
