Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Engineer to join our dynamic team in the financial services sector based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in web development, a deep understanding of the latest technologies, and a passion for creating innovative financial solutions. As a Senior Web Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and Development: Lead the design and development of responsive, user-friendly web applications using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).

- System Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Architect scalable solutions that integrate with back-end services and APIs.

- Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while enforcing best practices in web development. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

- Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to enhance performance.

- Security Compliance: Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive financial data and adhere to industry regulations and standards.

- Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional web applications. Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications, ensuring a seamless user experience. Utilize automated testing tools where appropriate.

- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in web development and financial services. Share knowledge with the team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in web development, with a focus on financial services or similar industries.
- Proficiency in modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of database management systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
