Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and creative Set Decorator Assistant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is pivotal in supporting the Set Decorator in creating visually stunning and immersive environments for our film and production projects within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Set Decorator in conceptualizing and implementing the overall visual aesthetic of film sets, including but not limited to office spaces, outdoor locations, and energy facilities.
- Collaborate with the production design team to source, acquire, and prepare set dressing materials, props, and furnishings that align with the narrative and thematic elements of each production.
- Help in the setup, arrangement, and maintenance of set decorations, ensuring that all items are positioned accurately and safely.
- Conduct research on historical and contemporary design styles relevant to the energy sector to inform and enhance set design decisions.
- Support the organization and inventory of props and set dressing materials, ensuring everything is accounted for and in good condition throughout the production process.
- Participate in on-site meetings and discussions with the production team to understand and implement design ideas and changes.
- Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of sets after filming, ensuring all materials are returned to storage or disposed of appropriately.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while working under tight deadlines and evolving project requirements.
- Stay updated on trends in set decoration and design, particularly within the energy sector, to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in set decoration, production design, or a related field, preferably within the film or television industry.
- A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Fine Arts, Theater Arts, or a related discipline is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with various departments, including production, art, and technical teams.
- A creative mindset with a strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed during production schedules.
