Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Services Assistant to join our team in the pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will provide support to individuals and families in navigating the complexities of healthcare and pharmaceutical services. This role requires a strong understanding of social services, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to improving the well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Support:
- Assist clients in understanding and accessing pharmaceutical services, including medication management, insurance benefits, and financial assistance programs.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' needs and eligibility for support services.
2. Resource Coordination:
- Maintain an updated database of local resources, including community organizations, healthcare providers, and support groups.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate services and follow up to ensure clients receive the assistance they require.
3. Education and Advocacy:
- Provide education to clients and their families about available pharmaceutical services, treatment options, and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapies.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive equitable and timely access to services.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting interactions, referrals, and progress towards goals.
- Prepare reports and contribute to program evaluation efforts to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
5. Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client cases and develop integrated service plans.
6. Community Outreach:
- Engage in outreach initiatives to raise awareness about available social services and pharmaceutical support within the community.
- Organize and participate in informational sessions, workshops, and health fairs to promote health literacy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in social services, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong understanding of social service programs, healthcare systems, and patient advocacy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional travel within the Dubai area for client visits and community outreach activities.
- Standard office hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
