Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our dynamic team in the retail sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications, contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Design:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify and document test scenarios for different stages of software development.

2. Test Execution:
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on various software applications.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality standards.
- Identify, report, and track defects in the defect management system, ensuring timely resolution by the development team.

3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defects, and test case execution.
- Generate test reports and metrics to provide insights on software quality and performance.
- Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders effectively.

4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on technical specifications from a testing perspective.

5. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
- Contribute to the establishment and improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

6. User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Assist in the coordination and execution of user acceptance testing with end-users to validate software functionality and usability.
- Gather feedback and facilitate discussions to ensure the software meets business needs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, preferably in the retail industry.
- Proficient in manual testing methodologies, as well as experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, QTest).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
