Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our sports manufacturing operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and a strong background in operations management, with a focus on optimizing processes, managing teams, and ensuring product quality. This role will play a crucial part in coordinating between various departments, managing supplier relationships, and driving initiatives that support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the sports manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.

2. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operational staff, including production, quality control, and logistics personnel.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.

3. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure that all products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

4. Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Evaluate potential suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s quality and cost standards.

5. Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the operations budget, tracking expenses and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Analyze financial reports to assess performance and make informed decisions to drive profitability.

6. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Lead safety training initiatives and promote a culture of safety within the organization.

7. Project Management:
- Coordinate and oversee special projects related to product development, process improvement, and facility upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion and alignment with business objectives.

8. Market Awareness:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to inform operational strategies and product offerings.
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to represent the company and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the sports manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality assurance principles.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant manufacturing software.

Working Conditions:

- This position is based in Dubai and may require occasional travel to supplier sites or industry events.
- The role may involve standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
