Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Stage Lighting Technician to join our dynamic team in the education sector based in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of lighting systems for a variety of educational events, including theatrical performances, presentations, and other special occasions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and a passion for enhancing the educational experience through effective lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with directors, producers, and other technical staff to understand the lighting needs for educational events and performances.
- Design and implement lighting plans that align with the artistic vision of each production while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Set up, test, and operate lighting equipment, including fixtures, control systems, and rigging, for rehearsals and live events.
- Maintain and troubleshoot lighting equipment to ensure optimal performance; perform regular inspections and repairs as needed.
- Assist in the training of students and staff on proper lighting techniques and equipment usage.
- Work closely with sound and video technicians to create cohesive and synchronized technical designs.
- Manage inventory of lighting equipment and supplies, ensuring all materials are accounted for and in good working condition.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations related to stage lighting.
- Provide on-site support during events, adjusting lighting as necessary to meet the dynamic demands of live performances.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Stage Lighting Technician or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 7 years of relevant experience in live performance lighting.
- Strong knowledge of lighting design principles, equipment, and technology.
- Proficiency with lighting control systems and software (e.g., DMX, lighting consoles).
- Experience in rigging and safety practices related to stage lighting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- A degree or diploma in Theatre Production, Lighting Design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

- The role may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the event schedule.
- Physical demands include lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
