Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stagehand to join our team in Sharjah, specializing in construction and production for live events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the performing arts and a strong background in stage support, ensuring that all technical aspects of productions run smoothly. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively with various teams while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Stage Setup and Breakdown: Assist in the construction, setup, and breakdown of stages, including rigging lights, sound equipment, and other technical elements for events.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on stage equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are in good working order and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Collaboration: Work closely with directors, stage managers, and other crew members to coordinate stage activities and ensure that all production requirements are met.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during setup, operation, and dismantling of stage equipment.
- Logistics Management: Assist in the transportation of materials and equipment to and from the stage, ensuring timely delivery and setup.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during rehearsals and performances, ensuring minimal disruption to the production.
- General Support: Provide general support during rehearsals and live performances, including managing props, assisting performers, and maintaining a clean and organized stage area.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a stagehand or in a related role within the construction or events industry (minimum 3 years, maximum 7 years).
- Strong understanding of stage equipment, rigging, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in a construction or performance environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and stage layouts.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment as required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
