Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stockroom Clerk Assistant to join our dynamic team in the construction sector. The successful candidate will assist in managing the stockroom operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, and supporting the overall logistics of materials and supplies required for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and organizing materials and supplies in the stockroom. Ensure that all items are stored appropriately and labeled correctly.

- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking incoming and outgoing materials. Utilize inventory management software to update stock records and generate reports as needed.

- Order Fulfillment: Support the stockroom team in retrieving materials for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery to job sites. Prepare materials for pickup or delivery, ensuring they are packaged securely.

- Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to the supervisor. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards for the materials used on-site.

- Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering new supplies as needed. Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while handling materials and operating stockroom equipment. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized stockroom environment.

- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure that materials are available as needed. Provide support during inventory audits and assist with resolving any discrepancies.

- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and assisting in the preparation of reports related to inventory usage and stock levels.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.

- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in stockroom management, inventory control, or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.

- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Ability to lift heavy materials and operate stockroom equipment safely.

- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Knowledge of construction materials and tools is an advantage.
