Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Student Services Coordinator to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating a positive experience for students enrolled in our construction programs. This position requires strong organizational skills, a passion for student development, and a commitment to providing exceptional support services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students regarding academic and administrative inquiries.
- Provide guidance and support to students in navigating their program requirements, course selections, and career development opportunities.
- Facilitate student orientation and onboarding activities.
2. Program Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and organization of workshops, seminars, and events relevant to student learning and professional development in the construction field.
- Collaborate with faculty and program directors to ensure the smooth delivery of academic programs and services.
3. Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate student records, including enrollment data, academic progress, and attendance.
- Prepare and distribute student communication materials, including newsletters, handbooks, and announcements.
- Assist in budget management for student services programs and events.
4. Student Engagement:
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance student engagement and community building within the construction programs.
- Organize extracurricular activities, networking events, and industry visits to provide students with practical insights into the construction sector.
5. Feedback and Improvement:
- Collect and analyze student feedback through surveys and focus groups to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with academic staff to implement changes based on student feedback and industry trends.
6. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards related to student services.
- Prepare reports on student services activities, outcomes, and recommendations for program improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in student services, academic advising, or a related area, preferably within the construction education sector.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and its educational requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse student population.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with student information systems.
