Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Technician to join our dynamic team in Ajman, specializing in the Information Technology sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and assist in the replenishment of supplies and equipment to ensure that all IT products are readily available for operations and projects.
- Supplier Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with suppliers to track orders, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of materials and products. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend improvements in processes. Utilize inventory management software and tools to monitor supply chain performance metrics.
- Logistics Support: Assist in the planning and execution of logistics operations, including shipping and receiving of IT equipment and materials. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, purchase orders, and shipping documents. Ensure that all documentation is compliant with internal and external standards.
- Problem-Solving: Identify issues within the supply chain process and work collaboratively with team members to develop effective solutions. Engage in troubleshooting and provide support for supply chain-related inquiries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure that supply chain processes align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all supply chain operations adhere to safety and quality standards. Participate in audits and inspections as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics, preferably within the IT industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and safety regulations relevant to supply chain operations.
