Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in the pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting surgical procedures by providing assistance to surgeons and the medical team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist surgeons during various surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness before and after procedures.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with recovery.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, protocols, and guidelines to maintain a sterile field and minimize the risk of infection.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate effective communication and teamwork during procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and assist in the documentation of patient files as required.
- Conduct inventory management for surgical supplies, ensuring that all materials are adequately stocked and prepared for upcoming surgeries.
- Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and advancements in pharmaceuticals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery processes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent clinical training in surgical assistance.
- A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience in a surgical assistant role or related position in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures, anatomy, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and standards in the UAE.
