Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sustainability Coordinator Assistant to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceutical sector based in Dubai. This role is pivotal in supporting our sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting sustainable practices throughout our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in sustainability, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Sustainability Coordinator in the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability programs and initiatives within the pharmaceutical facility.
- Conduct research on sustainability best practices and emerging trends in the pharmaceutical industry to support ongoing projects.
- Help coordinate sustainability assessments and audits, including compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
- Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability data, including energy consumption, waste management, and water usage, to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the development of sustainability training materials and initiatives for employees to promote awareness and engagement.
- Assist in the preparation of sustainability reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, procurement, and marketing, to integrate sustainability into business practices and decision-making processes.
- Maintain documentation and databases related to sustainability projects, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Participate in sustainability events, workshops, and initiatives that promote environmental stewardship within the community.
- Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements related to sustainability in pharmaceuticals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and sustainability reporting software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive approach and a strong commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.
